5 Things We Love About The 2025 Hyundai Venue N Line; And Why...

The Venue N Line has always been distinct from the regular Venue in more ways than just its appearance. It even drives differently. Hyundai has managed to enhance the sportiness of the N Line in the 2025 update while making it more liveable. And one of the primary questions that every buyer has is: "What's the mileage that the 2025 N Line actually gives?"
Hyundai has now revealed fuel efficiency details and drivetrain improvements for the refreshed model, and there's good news: the N Line continues to deliver its performance punch without a big drop in efficiency.
The Venue N Line continues with Hyundai's 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. It still produces 120 PS and 172 Nm, and the transmission options remain familiar: a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).

What does change, however, is how efficiently the engine now uses fuel. We expect Hyundai to have updated the ECU mapping, resulting in significantly smoother power delivery. This, along with optimised boost pressure during partial throttle inputs, makes for noticeably improved fuel consumption.

With the new prices, the official mileage figures now stand as follows:
|
Powertrain |
1-litre Turbo Petrol MT |
1-litre Turbo Petrol DCT |
|
Fuel Economy (Claimed) |
18.74 kmpl |
20 kmpl |
These are ARAI-certified numbers, and the N Line thus stands out as one of the most efficient turbo-petrol SUVs in the segment, despite its sporty positioning.
New for 2025, the Venue N Line offers Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes. The Eco mode dulls throttle response and shifts early to maximise efficiency. Sport mode keeps the gears lower and the engine in its peak torque band for quicker acceleration. Unlike before, the N Line's character now feels like it can be two different vehicles, depending on the mode you select: a calm commuter or a spirited subcompact SUV.

Traction modes-Sand, Mud, and Snow-work to adjust the behaviours of traction control to prevent loss of power or wheelspin. Though they are not directly related to the return in mileage, they help the car maintain good power on slippery surfaces.
It also features an Idle Stop & Go that switches off the engine at traffic signals and then starts it automatically. This function alone contributes to the improved official mileage figures in city environments, especially with the DCT variant.
The Venue N Line rides on 17-inch wheels and wider 215-section tyres, giving it better grip and sharper cornering feel. Wider tyres do tend to increase rolling resistance, but Hyundai’s efficiency gains from calibration updates and drive modes balance this out.

This means a sporty SUV that still offers respectable fuel economy, the ideal combination in its class.

The 2025 Hyundai Venue N Line reiterates the fact that performance need not come at a cost at the fuel pump. With claimed figures of 18.74 kmpl for the manual and 20 kmpl for the DCT, the N Line now matches or even betters the efficiency numbers of several mainstream turbo subcompact SUVs.
