Tata Punch EV Facelift

The Punch EV is one of Tata’s most popular electric cars, and since its launch in 2024, it has offered a good blend of efficiency and the latest features. With a facelifted version being launched now, Tata aims to carry forward this image further. We now know that the new Punch EV has a lot to offer and might as well become a top choice for buyers in this segment. While most of the details of the car have been revealed, here are some of the things we believe that completely stand out.

Let's have a look at these 5 things that we really loved about the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift.

Improved Range And Performance

The facelifted version of the Tata Punch EV boasts a new 40 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 468 kms, which is really impressive and at par with its competition. The lower variants will also get a smaller 30 kWh battery pack, which has been carried over from the outgoing model, but has been re-engineered to offer more range than before, which will be revealed soon. Tata has also improved power figures, with up to 129 PS of power on tap which helps the Punch EV do the 0-100 kmph run in a matter of 9 seconds.

Here are the detailed battery specifications of the new Punch EV:

65 kW Fast Charging

Besides the longer range and bigger battery packs, Tata has also ensured to give the new Punch EV faster 65 kW DC charging capabilities which will surely go a long way in making it a better highway machine and enhance the car’s usability on longer drives. The carmaker also claims that with this, the Punch EV facelift can juice up from 10-80 % in just 30 minutes both the battery packs.

360-Degree Camera With Blind View Monitor

The 360-degree camera is one feature that has become quite popular given the crowded urban confines in our country, and if you’re thinking of buying a Punch EV, you’re in luck! Tata has equipped the Punch EV with a 360-degree camera, along with a new blind  view monitor. This feature has been a part of the package ever since 2024, but is still incredibly useful in tight parking spaces.

The blind view monitor also projects the video feed from the ORVM-mounted cameras when turning, which further adds a layer of safety to the overall driving experience.

Updated Driver’s Cluster With Navigation

A major update from the driver’s perspective is that the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster now gets navigation embedded in it. You no longer have to take your eyes off the road to see your maps on the infotainment screen; the same can be accessed on your instrument cluster now. This might be a small improvement, but it will prove to be useful in real life.

Bold Exterior Colours

While the exterior design sports minor sophisticated updates, Tata has offered the new Punch EV with multiple new colours, some of which truly bring out its athletic personality. These bold new colour options, like Caramel, Bengal Rouge, and Fearless Yellow, have been introduced to appeal to the younger generation who are usually driven towards something unique. You can take a look at each colour option here.
