India seems to be the top priority for Renault!

Renault Duster

Renault has just revealed the all-new Duster for India, and surprisingly, it's a lot more feature-loaded than the global version! While it was always known to be an economical and barebones option, especially in European markets, we now have a version that offers a lot more. Intrigued? Let’s take a look at the top 5 features that the Indian car gets, which are missing on the global Duster:

Panoramic Sunroof

Starting from the crowd-favourite Panoramic Sunroof, which is a massive unit on the Indian Duster, and stretches all the way back till the second row. You will be amazed to know that Renault does not even offer a single-pane sunroof globally. This means the privilege of being able to stargaze while on drives, for now, is reserved for Indian buyers only!

Powered Tailgate

A relatively small feature, but one that increases the ‘feel-good’ factor is a powered tailgate. Have a lot of stuff in your hands, no need to open the tailgate yourself. Just click the button and it’ll open! Curiously enough, this feature isn’t offered anywhere else, even in developed markets.

10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster

As we have seen earlier, the Indian Duster gets an all-new interior which feels a lot more modern and premium compared to the relatively ‘functional’ feeling interior of the global version, and the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster has a big part to play in this. Equipped with Google OS and some great quality graphics, it helps enhance the convenience factor as well, with an integrated maps display.

6-Way Powered And Ventilated Front Seats

Another comfort feature that Renault has included in the new Duster, are 6-way powered and ventilated seats for both the front passengers, along with manual lumbar support adjustment.

On the other hand, the global version not only misses out on ventilation, but is only offered with manually adjustable seats up front!

Auto-dimming IRVM

An underrated, but one of the most useful safety features is an Auto-dimming IRVM which is offered by Renault on the Indian version. It can be especially helpful when driving on dim lit roads at night, and curbs the annoyance of other drivers constantly using high beam, which can be seen frequently in our country.

ZigSays…

The Duster is an important product for Renault in India, and the carmaker has put everything it can behind it. And this fact clearly shows up in the long list of features it has brought in specifically for its Indian buyers, one-upping even the global version, which is rare to see usually. However, if it can redefine the legacy of the Duster brand will only be known once the prices are revealed in March.
