Hero has patented a new maxi-scooter design that is a complete departure from the current crop of Hero scooters. With a sharp front, dual headlights, stylish body, and overall sporty design, the scooter design nails the authentic maxi-scooter design.
The design shows the scooter gets a telescopic fork along with what could be an offset monoshock. While there’s a disc brake at the front, we’re not too clear about the rear braking equipment. While other details aren’t out yet, its premium looks mean it could be a relatively higher displacement scooter. Liquid cooling? Maybe, but let’s not count our chickens before they hatch.
The Indian market hasn’t really seen proper maxi-scooters over the years so this one does sound exciting. And given how spot-on Hero’s pricing usually is, it’s reasonable to expect this to be priced within the reach of most Indian customers. If it is around the 150cc class, it’ll challenge the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160.
