Honda Cars India has conducted the second mega delivery event for over 200 units of its brand new compact SUV, the Elevate, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This is the second event conducted by the Japanese carmaker after its first one consisting of 100 units in Hyderabad. Honda also earlier said more such events will be happening across the country.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “We are very excited to celebrate the mega delivery event of our much-anticipated SUV, the Honda Elevate today in Chennai. Developed specifically for the Indian consumer, the Elevate’s bold styling and impressive interiors have gained a lot of interest in the market since its global unveiling. The overwhelming response is a testament to the trust the customers have in the product.”

Honda said it’s focussing on delivering the compact SUV to its customers. And in case you are interested to check out the model, it’s on display at dealerships, with test drives underway as well. The Elevate is offered in a total of four broad trims: SV, V, VX and ZX. Its manual box is standard, while the automatic is limited to the top three.

Powering the Honda Elevate is a 121PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. There’s no alternative powertrain option on offer, but later down the line, Honda said it’ll be introducing an electric version of the Elevate.
