Honda Introduces New Antivirus Cabin Air Filter As Official Accessory

The new filter is supposedly capable of filtering out minute particulate matter and microbes for a safer in-car experience

Honda Cars India has introduced a new antivirus cabin air filter as an official accessory for its recent offerings. This new multi-layer filter has been jointly developed with Freudenberg, a global technology group, and claims to filter out harmful germs, pollutants and even viruses for safer in-car travel.

The new Antivirus air filter‘s first microfibre layer is coated with an active substance of leaf extract, which prevents allergens and bacteria. Then there’s another layer of activated carbon, which filters out particulate matter and harmful acidic gases. The other layers take care of the pollutants, viruses, ultra-fine aerosols, dust and pollen.

With this new filter, Honda claims it’s capable of providing improved protection against standard filters. The Japanese carmaker also adds that the anti virus filter is capable of trapping minute particles in the air to provide a much healthier in-car environment.
