It’s confirmed! Kia India will be taking the wraps off the facelifted Seltos on July 4. Prices of the revised compact SUV will be revealed soon after its debut in the country. This will be the first major update for the Seltos in India and If you had your eyes on one, you’ll be happy to know that select dealers have commenced bookings for the SUV.
The facelifted Kia Seltos has been snapped undisguised in India and it’s easy to spot the design changes. It will get a larger Tiger Nose grille, flanked by LED headlights with reprofiled DRLs. The bumper design has been tweaked, giving it a breath of fresh air. In profile, the SUV rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels from the X-Line trim. It’s at the rear where you can easily tell it’s the new SUV thanks to the connected tail lamps and new bumpers with twin exhaust outlets.

The Seltos’ interior is yet to be papped, but we expect the design and orientation to be similar to the international model. We expect it to get the dual 10.25-inch screens, with similar orientation as the EV6, comprising the touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display. It’s also expected to get a revised central console and rotary gear selector for the automatic variants.
It will also get a heavy boost in the features department thanks to the addition of a panoramic sunroof and ADAS, confirmed by previous spy shots. Apart from that, it should continue with a head-up display, ventilated front seats, a Bose sound system, and wireless phone charger. And with this update, six airbags could be made as standard across the range.

The Kia Seltos should continue with its existing 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Apart from that, the 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is expected to debut with this update. These engines should continue with the existing iMT and automatic transmission options.
With such comprehensive updates expected, the facelifted SUV could command a premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara and upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross and Honda Elevate.
