The actress rode her previous-generation Range Rover Vogue to the Sri Peddamma Thalli temple in Telangana. Getting divine blessings was the start of the film production team’s promotion campaign for the movie.

Fourth-gen Range Rover Vogue

Samantha’s Range Rover is a fourth-generation model that first arrived in India in 2019. Her SUV has a black exterior with a cool red-black interior theme. The massive, luxurious SUV pampers its occupants with features such as a 13-speaker, 825-watt Meridian sound system, massaging second-row seats, independent screens for infotainment and HVAC controls and, of course, a panoramic sunroof.

This generation of the Range Rover lasted till 2022 and came with multiple engine options, including a 5-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine, 3-litre six-cylinder diesel and petrol engines and a 4.4-litre V8 diesel unit. It was replaced by the current, fifth-generation Range Rover. 

Samantha’s new feature film is a mythological epic based on the play Shakuntalam, also known as Abhijanashakuntalam, written by Kalidasa around the fourth century CE. It dramatises the life of Shakuntala, a character in the Mahabharata, who is the mother of the Emperor Bharata. Here’s the movie trailer: 

Catch the love story when Shaakuntalam hits theatres on April 14. Meanwhile, Samantha is also known for her roles in The Family Man web series on Amazon Prime Video, Kathuvakula Rendu Kadhal, Kaththi, 24, Mersal, Eega, Rangasthalam and Majili.
