The highlight of the new-generation Renault Duster lineup is the Iconic Launch Edition variant. It is the top-of-the-line, fully loaded variant. It is meant to celebrate the comeback of the Duster nameplate to India after a four-year hiatus. Instead of incorporating mechanical changes, Renault has focused on material upgrades and visual detailing to make this variant stand apart on the road.
Let us deep dive into what the Renault Duster Iconic Launch Edition offers, what makes it different, and how it makes its owners feel special.
The first difference in the Iconic Launch Edition is noticed on the outside as it gets exclusive yellow accents on the front grille, roof bars and tailgate, besides adding contrast to the Duster’s otherwise functional design.

The edition also gets iconic yellow door decals and Himalayan-inspired side embellishers, which reinforce the SUV's adventure-themed feel.

The 18-inch "Adventure" black alloy wheels complete the stance, giving the Duster a more commanding presence. The Iconic Launch Edition is also available in Mountain Jade Green paint with a contrasting gloss black roof and spoiler, making it look and feel more premium than the rest of the variants.

Inside, the Iconic Launch Edition adds on the basic Duster cabin but adds a layer of Iconic detailing. It gets a Mountain Jade leatherette seat upholstery featuring a Renault logo, along with contrast yellow stitching and embroidery across the seats, dashboard and door panels.

The upper half of the dashboard and door inserts are finished in matching leatherette with gloss carbon-style accents, giving the cabin a sportier and more premium feel.

While the overall layout and features remain unchanged, the cosmetic updates help visually differentiate the Iconic edition from the regular variants.

The Iconic Launch Edition is positioned as a top-spec offering, meaning it comes with the full feature set available on the Duster. This includes a dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a powered tailgate and ambient lighting.

The infotainment system comes with Google built in and supports native Android apps via the Google Play Store. Connected-car features are also part of the package.

Rather than introducing new features, Renault’s approach here is to bundle everything together in a visually distinct package for buyers who want a no-compromise version at launch.
Importantly, the Iconic Edition has no change in terms of the mechanical underpinnings. The powertrain and hardware specs are the same as the standard Duster model. This means that buyers who buy the Iconic edition opt for design and visual appeal over anything else.

The Renault Duster Iconic Launch Edition is aimed at a target market that wants something more distinctive than a regular variant and prefers a fully loaded SUV right from day one. It makes sense for the ones who value design, exclusivity and factory-finished special edition cars without needing aftermarket customisation to stand out from the crowd.
The Iconic Launch Edition of the Renault Duster focuses on visual exterior and interior elements and a premium finish. Renault has created a special feeling version without changing the SUV’s core strengths. Is this the version you’d pick, or would you rather save some money with a regular trim?
