Boss Hoss has built a reputation unlike any other motorcycle manufacturer. Since the early 1990s, the American brand has been known for fitting massive Chevrolet V8 car engines into cruiser motorcycles, creating some of the world’s most outrageous production bikes. While it remains a niche manufacturer today, Boss Hoss continues to cater to enthusiasts who believe there’s no replacement for displacement. For 2026, the brand has taken things a step further by introducing an even bigger V8 engine for its Cruiser.
The biggest update is the addition of the 496 cubic-inch (8,127cc) big-block V8. Interestingly, this engine isn’t entirely new to the brand, as it previously powered the now-discontinued Boss Hoss Super Sport Bike. With the Super Sport gone from the lineup, the engine has now found a new home in the Cruiser.
600hp From An 8.1-Litre V8

The new V8 engine produces a staggering 600 PS and 772 Nm, making it the most powerful engine currently available on the Boss Hoss Cruiser. The Cruiser is now offered with four different V8 engine options.
The smallest engine in the range is the legendary 6.2-litre LS3 V8, which develops 445 PS and 605Nm. Buyers looking for even more excess can opt for larger V8s, with Boss Hoss offering engine capacities of up to a colossal 10 litres.
Same Boss Hoss Formula

Apart from the new engine option, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to use the signature steel frame and has a kerb weight of 556 kg. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a two-speed semi-automatic transmission, with a torque converter replacing a conventional clutch. Given the motorcycle’s sheer size and weight, Boss Hoss also equips it with a reverse gear to make low-speed manoeuvres easier.
The Cruiser features a massive 32.17-litre fuel tank. Boss Hoss claims a fuel consumption figure of between 9.41 and 13.07 litres per 100 km, giving the motorcycle a claimed range of around 250 to 400 km depending on the engine and riding style. For 2026, Boss Hoss has also streamlined its motorcycle lineup. The Super Sport Bike has been discontinued, leaving the Cruiser and Bagger as the brand’s two motorcycle offerings.
Priced from around $71,000 (approximately Rs 61 lakh), the 2026 Boss Hoss Cruiser is anything but sensible. However, for those who want a motorcycle powered by a giant American V8 and unlike anything else on the road, there are very few machines that can match what Boss Hoss has to offer.
