The Bajaj Pulsar N150 has been launched at a price of Rs 1,17,734 (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Bajaj has based this new Pulsar bike on the Pulsar P150 and it is Rs 979 more expensive than the Single Disc variant of the P150 and shares design elements with the Pulsar N160.
The Pulsar N150 is powered by the same 149.68cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine from the Pulsar P150, mated to a 5-speed gearbox, producing 14.5PS and 13.5Nm. Its suspension setup – a 31mm telescopic fork, and a monoshock – is also similar to the P150. It gets the same 260mm front disc brake as the P150 and a 130mm rear drum unit with single-channel ABS as standard. The tyre setup is a 90/90-17 front and a 120/80-17 rear. And as the N150 is based on the P150, the dimensions are also similar: wheelbase of 1,352mm, seat height of 790mm and a ground clearance of 165mm, though the 145kg kerb weight is heavier by 5kg.

The design elements of the Pulsar N160 have been carried over to the N150. As such, it gets the same aggressive LED projector headlight, sharp tank design with the extensions, sleek rear panel and rear fender. These elements give the motorcycle a sharp and sporty outlook. It also has design similarities with the P150, such as the alloy wheel design and the single-piece seat and handlebar, like that of the Single Disc variant of the P150. Unlike the P150, the N150 gets a single-piece grab rail.
Bajaj is known for making bikes that share the same parts from different bikes, and the Pulsar N150 is another such product, based on the Pulsar P150 and sharing cosmetic bits with the N160. The sporty 160cc has gotten pretty expensive over the years and this is Bajaj’s attempt at establishing its presence in the 150cc streetfighter segment. This space was so far dominated by the Yamaha FZ S V3, so with the new Pulsar N150, Bajaj will finally get to grab its share of the pie.
