Yamaha has launched the 2022 Vino in Japan, and the only updates for this year are the two new colour schemes.
The 2022 Yamaha Vino will be now available in a retro-looking dual-tone combination of pastel light blue and beige. To complement this paint job, Yamaha has equipped the scooter with tan-brown handlebar grips, seat, and floorboard mat.
Another new colour introduced this year is matte green with white accents. For this shade, Yamaha has gone with black seat and handlebar grips, while keeping the floorboard and apron grey.
There are no other updates to the Yamaha Vino, and it continues to be powered by the puny 50cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor producing 4.5PS and 4.1Nm. The scooter features drum brakes at both ends and a telescopic fork and monoshock for suspension.
Interestingly, the Vino is actually a result of a tie-up between Honda and Yamaha, and the engine used here is, in fact, sourced from the former. While this has helped both cut production costs, the JPY 2,03,500 (Rs 1.33 lakh) price tag is still on the expensive side, making the Yamaha Aerox 155 look like a steal.
