Tata Nexon EV gets three new features, ADAS being the highlight.
These features are available in a new top-spec variant: Empowered Plus A.
The Empowered Plus A variant also gets a new Dark Edition for a Rs 20,000 premium.
Powertrain setup remains unchanged with two battery packs.
Prices of the new variants range between Rs 17.29 lakh and Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Motors has updated the Nexon EV 45 with a level-2 ADAS suite. This update comes along with two additional features and is based on the top-spec Empowered Plus variants of the sub-compact eSUV. The new top-spec trim, Empowered Plus A, sits with a Rs 17.29 lakh tag (ex-showroom). Notably, the Nexon EV now also gets a Dark Edition for a Rs 20,000 premium over the Empowered Plus A variant. Fret not, we have detailed the updates in the next section:
The big talking points are the rear window sunshade and ambient lighting, giving the cabin a more upmarket feel. And then there’s the new Dark Edition, which dresses up the Nexon EV in Tata’s popular all-black theme, now available in the top Empowered Plus A 45 trim.

Here’s how the updated pricing looks:
Empowered Plus A 45: Rs 17.29 lakh (Rs 30,000 more than Empowered Plus)
Empowered Plus A 45 Dark: Rs 17.49 lakh (new addition)
Empowered Plus A 45 Red Dark: Rs 17.49 lakh (Rs 30,000 more than Empowered Plus Red Dark)
The Nexon EV was already quite loaded. Key features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and automatic climate control. Its safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera and now of course, level 2 ADAS features.

Things have not changed under the hood. The Nexon EV has two battery options with a single-motor setup. You can take a look at its detailed specifications below:

With these updates, the Tata Nexon EV continues to fend off rivals like the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and MG Windsor EV.
The Tata Nexon EV has long been a popular choice in the Indian market ever since its launch in 2020. Considering the rising popularity of one of its key rivals lately, Tata has made a good move in making the Nexon EV a stronger package than before. Besides good-to-have niceties, the addition of ADAS upholds the brand’s importance towards safety and should bring more appeal amongst potential customers.
