Tata Motors has recently updated one of its most popular EVs in the Indian market, the Nexon EV. The subcompact electric SUV was recently updated with a larger battery pack for the Long Range variant and a panoramic sunroof, a feature which you all love! And with the introduction of the latter, the Nexon EV now becomes the first electric SUV in India to get two sunroof options in India.
The Tata Nexon EV’s newly introduced panoramic sunroof is limited to the top-spec Empowered and Empowered + variants and here’s the catch. You need to opt for the 45 kWh battery pack variant to get this feature. All other variants that sit below it and for those opting for the smaller 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh battery which got the sunroof earlier have to rely on the smaller single-pane sunroof.
Apart from the sunroofs, the Tata Nexon EV gets plenty of equipment such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charger, cruise control and keyless entry with push button start.
Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera, electronic stability control and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Tata offers the Nexon EV with three battery packs: 30 kWh, 40.5 kWh and 45 kWh. And here’s a detailed look at the powertrain specifications offered with each battery pack:
