The year was 2021, and a new EV maker called Ola Electric launched its first electric scooter, the Ola S1, on August 15. Ever since then, Ola has stuck to introducing new variants, or making bigger-than-life announcements on Indian Independence Day. Continuing that ritual for a third year in a row, Ola Electric is set to introduce a bunch of products this August 15, as well, and we speculate what they might be.
Recently, Ola Electric’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted about introducing a new variant in the S1 lineup. The teaser hinted at a classic-styled take on the S1, and could perhaps be called the S1 Pro Classic. So naturally, our first thought is that this variant will be launched on August 15. It will give the S1 Pro’s minimalistic design a retro touch with accessories such as a windshield, cushioned backrest, centre stand and some classic colours. Rest of the e-scooter is expected to stay the same as the S1 Pro variant. Head here for more details on the same.

In February this year, Ola Electric shared a teaser of its upcoming electric bikes, and there were a bunch of them showcased. On Independence day, we expect the EV maker to give the first look of its e-bike, at least as a concept showcase. We believe it could be a scrambler-style electric motorcycle as the CEO was recently seen riding a Ducati Scrambler at a test track. You can head here for more information.

Apart from these, the Bengaluru-based EV maker will also launch two snazzy new shades for the S1 e-scooter lineup in August. That said, this was set to take place in July, but it now seems to have been pushed to next month, which could be because August 15 holds a special place for Ola. The deliveries for the S1 Air are expected to commence in July.
