Q. Will drive most in the city, want medium speed driving,sometimes for long drive not more than 250 km one way, is it ok for Hyundai Venue 1.2 litre engine or 1.0 turbo ,which is 1 lakh costlier too.

1.2 litre petrol engine fits the bill. It is smoother than the 1.0 litre turbo engine. The power delivery is linear and noiseless in 1.2 litre petrol engine. 1.0 litre engine is no good. It is noisy, makes you feel vibrations on the floor and is not totally matched with the chasis. You feel incoherent while driving 1.0 litre engine. It is a failure. Maintenace cost of 1.0 litre shall be more than 1.2 litre proven Kappa engine. Should go for only 1.2 litre Kappa engine.

I owned 1.2 Ltr and undoubtably best performing car with this engine,very smooth running, in cabin you will think that engine is off whereas engine is running, has good pick up you can climb to any mountain with car, 2nd gear is powerfull, i got 19-20 mileage on highway whereas engine is just a month old
