I've driven Himalayan on some short and long routes . I am going to share completely my personal experience with the comfort that you can go easily for around 200 kms without any hassle . Seat position and material is really smooth and comfortable but if you are riding continuously for more than 90 minutes or 200 kms , the same seat just start feeling quite uncomfortable . You can definitely feel some hard soreness in your hamstrings and glutes muscles .

  • Q. Is RE Himayalan a good choice for city conditions?

I use it daily for office commutes. It's quite a breeze. Takes time getting used to the weak bite of the front brakes. Also, the clutch is quite hard. Switching to the slightly longer clutch cable of Classic 350 helps. But on broken tarmac, you will thank the suspension of this bike.

  • Q. Does Royal Enfield Himalayan suitable city ride, highway tourer, or only comfortable for Himalaya tour and is it better than 350cc BS4 Thunderbird?

Yes, the Himalayan is a very suitable city ride. Enough low end torque to keep you going. It is definitely a great highway tourer. Luggage is no problem at all. the seating posture is perfect. However, you might miss the power output on straight patches. But then again, its not made for the crazy speed. It is in all ways better than the Thunderbird 350.
