  • Q. Is Continental GT Fit for long rides are there any cons???
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

While the Continental GT 650 stays true to its cafe racer pedigree, the sporty riding posture in a city’s stop-and-go traffic might take a toll on your back and wrists if you’re not habituated to the tucked-in position of sportsbikes. Cafe racers aren’t particularly known for everyday riding or long hauls; instead, they are used for short sprints on the weekend while making a style statement. Expect the Continental GT 650 to deliver a mileage of around 25 kmpl. The company claims that the use of 4-valves per cylinder has increased the engine efficiency resulting in better fuel economy performance.

This bike is not comfortable as this is a sporty riding posture. This bike is not so versitle as compared to naked street fighters. I would suggest yamaha yzf r3 for sporty choice. Ktm 390 or upcoming its same but for stylish neo cafe version husqvarna vitpilen 401 as these bike have same power as gt 650 but more vesitile nature just take them anywhere kinda bike plus they are very lite weight n practical only reason to buy gt 650 is if ur a re fan. Dont be fooled by 650 cc tag and its pricing gt 650 it all on paper is not a easy bike to live with i have one n its not a everyday bike if u ride it daily u will have back pain wrist pain nd its terrible to ride in city traffic bike gets really hot in summer city taffic

  • Q. Is Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 suitable for hilly areas like in Uttarakhand Himalayan terrain?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 month ago

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is powered by a 648cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin motor that makes peak power of 47.6PS at 7100rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5200rpm. The Continental GT 650 is the perfect upgrade for a Royal Enfield enthusiast who’s keen on buying a retro-modern sporty motorcycle. However, its slightly aggressive riding position may not be comfortable for long rides. The bike is powerful enough and could be a good option for the hilly areas, however, the kerb weight of 198 kg could be a little cumbersome. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test ride of the bike in order to get acquainted with the performance and compatibility. • Q. Is Continental GT useful for day to day use i.e around 40km per day and what mileage to expect?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 2 months ago

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a proper cafe racer and comes equipped with clip-on handlebars, a single seat with a race cowl, a smaller 12.5litre fuel tank and black spoked wheels. Powering the bike is a 648cc, air-and-oil-cooled parallel-twin motor that makes 47 PS of maximum power and 52 Nm of peak torque. As for the day-to-day usage, the bike features a comfortable seating posture, a relaxed engine and could be a good option for the same. However, if you’re not accustomed to riding proper sportbikes, it’s very easy for the GT to take a toll on your back and wrists, especially when riding in slow-moving traffic. The Continental GT 650 delivers a claimed mileage of around 27 km/l. Moreover, we'd recommend taking a test ride of the bike in order to get acquainted with the performance and compatibility.
