Q. Why Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 engine gets too hot even ridding only 5 km?

Normal for oil cooled engines i think, check the quality of the oil, change if required. Engine is cooled by oil and at the same time Oil has to be cooled by air flow. So the cooling fins and tubes have to be in good condition and free of Dirt and dust

Q. Is avenger 220 good for mountain trips?

Hell yeah! I just completed my 3000 km journey to Ladakh and back, and boy, the bike was almost perfect (as opposed to a few minor issues). Now by mountain trips, do you mean a weekend ride to your nearby mountain range or to the highest motorable road in the world at 18380 ft? If you said either to the former or the latter, then the bike performs great in any terrain - be it straights, off-road or ghats. The only issue I faced with on the Ladakh ride is the drop in power (the engine couldn't get the oxygen it required for optimum combustion since the air is thin up there, hence I could only manage 60kmph in the toughest terrain). In the luggage department, you could install side boxes (The studds cruiser one is the best) or tie a backpack with a bunjee cord to the back pillion rest (available only in the cruise 220), which makes for a great makeshift support. Q. My height is 6 ft will Avenger Cruise be a good choice for me

It's good for short height people, taller people will face back pain, sitting position for a short run good for taller people but not for long run, I m 6ft had 220cruise, got the seat change for long ride , after riding 28000 km I sold it , had to to physiotherapist because of upper back pain, doc told me because of seat change you saved your lower back but it's effecting upper back. I would not suggest for taller people.

Q. How about driving Avenger 220 Cruise on hills?

It is very comfortable on hills but you need to keep the speed low in the turnings. Works well in the offroads but for if you talk about extreme off roads then I will suggest any proper offroading bike. But the comfort os also important in high terrain which is 100% available in this bike.

Q. How is the battery performance of Avenger asking because someone told me that you will face problem as its self start only. No kick available.

I Have Avenger 180 street 2018 model, two years back i purchased and within 8 months i am facing battery issue. i am facing issue with battery efficiency from long and every time if i not drive my bike for continuously 3 or 4 days i am not able to do self start. its very difficult to start by pushing the bike in 1st gear with clutch , very problematic issue it is since it don't have kick start.

All 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler engines go through a stress test where they run it continuously for 600 km before releasing it for production. It is practically impossible for a person to ride non-stop on Indian roads for even 100 km.

If you are facing some problems with your bike's clutch then look for these common problems: 1. Lag in the acceleration while turning on the throttle.2. Lack of proper pickup.3. Engine may overheat while riding.4. Engine may feel strain while acceleration (means engine has to work hard to attain a high speed)5. Reasonable Drop in mileage6.While pulling the clutch lever, it may feel like there is no pressure on the clutch wire7. There’s no difference in terms of performance and fuel efficiency if you compare Street 180 and Cruise 220. Both bike fuel efficiency of 40 at the cost of performance.Major difference in Cruise 220 and Street 180 is in their looks. Street, having flat handlebar, has better handling experience in city traffic. On the other hand, Cruise gives better ‘cruiser like’ feel.
