Jawa Perak Highlights

Overview

Jawa Motorcycles has launched two new models in India. The classic Jawa is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-Delhi) and the Jawa Forty Two costs Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-Delhi). The Perak is a Bobber variant. It features a blacked out theme and has a tan-coloured single seat, blacked out engine, exhaust and spoke wheels. The instrument console features a minimalistic design and has just the speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. The 334cc liquid cooled single cylinder motor is larger than the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two's 293cc motor. It also makes more power and torque than the other two bikes: 30PS and 31Nm. It gets a six-speed gearbox. It gets the same double cradle frame as the other two Jawas but gets a longer swingarm. The front gets telescopic forks while the rear has a monoshock. Braking is via front and rear disc brakes with ABS as standard. The Perak will be launched later next year and will retail for Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-Delhi).
