expect more but

I bought the Honda Hornet 2.0 hoping for a powerful and sporty ride. While the design is sharp but the performance does not live up to its name. The engine feels slow sometimes and struggles to get to higher speeds properly. The suspension is too soft for a sporty ride. The seat is uncomfortable for long hours in your bones. The brakes lack the bite expected from a performance bike. it looks good but does not pack much of a punch. If you want a true sports bike you can try another bikes in this segment which can give you more in same price.

Affordable and easy to maintain

It is a very stunning and attractive bike with unique design. It is affordable and easy to maintain and get full digital instrument cluster. It has excellent service network but has no dual-channel ABS. It has good ride quality and excellent hardware and this bike is loaded with features. It gives great performance on highway and is a great fuel efficient. Its handling is awsome and is a lightweight bike. Its fuel tank capacity is 12 litres and is a lightest bike in the segment and gives good braking performance.

Q. Which bike to buy under 2 lakh from these bike Honda Hornet 2.0, Yamaha FZ 25 and Honda CB300F?
  • All three bikes are good in their own forte. Honda Hornet 2.0 is a very likeable motorcycle with great handling dynamics and a frugal engine. The presence of bits such as the USD fork and LED lighting gives it that premium feel but the lack of engine excitement does put a damper on spirits. On the other hand, the Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249 cc engine. This FZ 25 engine generates a power of 20.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and a torque of 20.1 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The new motorcycle gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp. The bike’s negative LCD display shows the real-time mileage apart from the regular trove of information. Another new feature in the BS6 model is the side-stand engine cutoff function. The FZ25 BS6’s premium variant, the FZS 25, gets knuckle guards, a longer windscreen, alloy wheels in the gold finish, and more premium colour options. And Honda CB300F is an amazing bike, it looks muscular and it offers a powerful which is good for long riders. The 2023 Honda CB300F gets a 293cc air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 24.47PS at 7,500rpm and 25.6Nm at 5,500rpm. The updated model’s engine is now BS6.2 and OBD-2 compliant. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Q. Which is the best choice: Hunter 350 or Honda Hornet 2.0?
  • Both bikes are good in their own forte. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is aimed at attracting new and younger riders to the brand. And thanks to its styling, compact proportions, and friendly nature, it does that pretty well. Royal Enfield has nailed the pricing of this retro roadster, making it more affordable than some premium small-capacity motorcycles. Considering the pricing and the product, Royal Enfield clearly has a winner in its hands. On the other hand, Honda Hornet 2.0 is a very likable motorcycle with great handling dynamics and a frugal engine. The presence of bits such as the USD fork and LED lighting gives it that premium feel but the lack of engine excitement does put a damper on spirits. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city and brand accordingly for details.
Q. I want to buy new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V or Honda Hornet 2.0 which one is better?
  • Both the Bikes are best in their own forte, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has raised the benchmark of what to expect in a 160cc motorcycle. Single-channel ABS should improve its braking performance. On the other hand, Honda Hornet 2.0 is very light on its feet and has quite a frugal engine. Gold USD fork is a premium touch. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
Q. Which is better in Honda Hornet 2.0 and Bajaj Pulsar N160?
  • The Honda Hornet 2.0 is a very likeable motorcycle with great handling dynamics and a frugal engine. Presence of bits such as the USD fork and LED lighting give it that premium feel but the lack of engine excitement does put a damper on spirits. On the other hand, Bajaj hasn’t changed the new Pulsar formula much. N160 looks exactly like the N250 and has the same hardware and features, too. Hornet 2.0 [2020-2024] Key Highlights

Price: The Honda Hornet 2.0 comes at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 1,39,450. The bike is offered in 4 colours: Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.

Design: There is an air of familiarity in the design of the Hornet 2.0. It looks quite similar to its predecessor: the CB Hornet 160R. The sharp tank extensions, edgy body panels, and the chunky gold USD fork keep up the sporty trait that one associates with the Hornet name. You get a small belly pan too that protects the chunky cat-con. The exhaust is short and stubby with a blacked-out muffler cover. The Hornet 2.0 arrives in four colours: grey, blue, red and black. There is also a Repsol edition, replete with the colours of Honda's factory MotThere is an air of familiarity in the design of the Hornet 2.0. You get a small belly pan too that protects the chunky cat-con. The exhaust is short and stubby with a blacked-out muffler cover. The Hornet 2.0 arrives in four colours with new snazzy graphics: Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.

Features: Honda comes with an all-LED lighting. The aggressive toothed face is reminiscent of the older 160cc Hornet but it looks better on the new bike with those fat gold USDs. A blue backlit LCD digital cluster displays odometer, trip, gear position indicator, speedometer, bar-type tachometer, a clock and a fuel gauge. Sadly, there’s no range or distance-to-empty feature. Honda kitting the Hornet 2.0 with an engine kill switch was obvious but you also get a hazard toggle switch on the naked.

Engine: The 2023 Honda Hornet 2.0 is powered by a 184cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 17.27PS at 8,500rpm and 15.9Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. Suspension duties are taken care of by an upside-down (USD) fork and a preload adjustable monoshock affixed to a box-section swingarm. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brake.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The bike is built on a diamond frame and is suspended on an inverted fork and monoshock. It rolls on 17-inch wheels at both ends with 110-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

Rivals: Honda has positioned the Hornet 2.0 between the 160cc and 200cc bikes in India. Hence, the TVS Apache RTR 180 2V is its only primary rival. In terms of pricing, it’s at par with the larger Pulsar NS 200 and Apache RTR 200 4V.
