Q. Which bike to buy under 2 lakh from these bike Honda Hornet 2.0, Yamaha FZ 25 and
Honda CB300F?
- All three bikes are good in their own forte. Honda Hornet 2.0 is a very likeable motorcycle with great handling dynamics and a frugal engine. The presence of bits such as the USD fork and LED lighting gives it that premium feel but the lack of engine excitement does put a damper on spirits. On the other hand, the Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249 cc engine. This FZ 25 engine generates a power of 20.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and a torque of 20.1 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The new motorcycle gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp. The bike’s negative LCD display shows the real-time mileage apart from the regular trove of information. Another new feature in the BS6 model is the side-stand engine cutoff function. The FZ25 BS6’s premium variant, the FZS 25, gets knuckle guards, a longer windscreen, alloy wheels in the gold finish, and more premium colour options. And Honda CB300F is an amazing bike, it looks muscular and it offers a powerful which is good for long riders. The 2023 Honda CB300F gets a 293cc air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 24.47PS at 7,500rpm and 25.6Nm at 5,500rpm. The updated model’s engine is now BS6.2 and OBD-2 compliant. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Q. Which bike is best between Hornet 2.0, FZ-FI V3 and RTR 160 4V?
- The Honda Hornet 2.0 is a very likeable motorcycle with great handling dynamics and a frugal engine but the lack of engine excitement does put a damper on spirits. On the other hand, in nearly every aspect, except maybe ergonomics and braking, the Yamaha FZS-FI v3.0 fails to impress. If we talk about the third contender now, The RTR 160 4V offers more performance, better features, is more engaging to ride and is easier on the pocket as well. We believe that the TVS is the clear winner here when it comes to offering better value while being more fun at the same time as well. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Q. I'm confused between, Hornet 2.0 and Dominar 250?
- Selecting between the Bajaj Dominar 250 and the Hornet 2.0 would depend on your budget, preference of the segment and usage of the bike. With a frugal engine, agreeable ergos, light handling and a comfortable ride, the Hornet makes for a great city bike. If you’re currently riding a 125cc bike and looking for something with more performance to make your commute that much more interesting, but you don’t necessarily want something very sporty with ‘racing DNA’, the Hornet offers a sensible and easy motorcycling experience. If we talk about Dominar 250, apart from its accessible price tag, the Dominar 250 does one thing right -- it is fit to purpose. The 250cc motor may feel boring on the KTM, but it works beautifully on the Dominar especially when you combine it with its comfortable touring ergonomics. The seating stance is nearly upright with only a slight forward slant, the 800mm seat height makes for an easy reach, the wide handlebars are set fairly high and even the footpegs aren’t too rear set, making for a comfortable riding position. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for the dealership.
Q. CB 200X or Hornet 2.0?
- Selecting between the Honda CB200X and the Hornet 2.0 would depend on your budget, preference of the segment and usage of the bike. The Honda CB200X looks properly buff, compared to the Hornet 2.0, thanks to its ADV-like fairing with a fairing-mounted LED headlamp, tinted windshield, and knuckle guards with integrated LED indicators. Apart from the bodywork, ergonomics, and tyres, the rest of the motorcycle is pretty much the same as the Hornet 2.0. This includes the powertrain, suspension, brakes, and alloy wheels. All in all, asking for a Rs 13,000-odd premium over the Hornet 2.0 feels a little too much considering you don’t get a lot for the extra money. You’re better off buying the Hornet, or if you’re looking for a proper motorcycle to tackle the terrain, the Hero XPulse 200 is a much better, capable, feature-packed option, that too at a considerably lower price point. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
