BMW has launched the 3 Series Gran Limousine M Sport Pro with the diesel engine at Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the top-spec variant of the 3 Series and is also available with a petrol engine. It features cosmetic upgrades to the exterior and a suite of ADAS features added to the sedan. It gets the 193 PS 2-lite diesel engine and goes from 0-100kmph in 7.6 seconds.

Features: Creature comforts on the inside comprise a curved display which includes integrated 12.3-inch digital instrument display and 14.9-inch infotainment screens, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 16-speaker, 464-Watt Harman Kardon sound system, and a heads-up display. Its safety suite is made up of six airbags, partial ADAS suite, parking assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and electronic parking brake with auto hold functionality.

Engine: The facelifted BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine gets two engine options: a 262PS/400Nm 2-litre petrol engine and a 193PS/400Nm 2-litre diesel engine. Both are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drivetrain. The former takes 6.2s to go from nought to 100kmph, while the diesel does the same in 7.6s. The standard-wheelbase range-topping M340i has a 3-litre petrol engine under the hood, belting out 379PS. No wonder it’s the quickest of the lot with a claimed 4.4s from 0-100kmph.

Rivals: The 3 Series Gran Limousine goes up against the Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4. The Bimmer being a long wheelbase model gives it an unique proposition in its segment as its rivals are offered only with a standard wheelbase.

Variants: The 3 Series Gran Limousine is offered in three variants: 330Li M Sport, 320Ld M Sport, 330Li M Sport Pro and 320Ld M Sport Pro

Everything about the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is at peak. The design, the comfort, the style, the performance, I just love everything about this car from top to bottom. This is a great car with 1998 cc engine which according to me is a great one. Also this car can go to a top speed of 250 kmph which makes it perfect.

It is highly technologically advanced and has excellent safety features and has a smooth gearbox that offers excellent stability when travelling at high speeds. Its handling is extremely stable and its power and efficiency ratio is very good. The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine offers super duper comfort and a smooth with stable ride over long distances. It is also quite fast while plenty of space is provided by its long wheelbase but certain comfort features are absent. It is an iconic sedan that is a great combo in both elegance and performance and is a very amazing car.

Driving to a family wedding in my BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine was an experience of luxury and a little inconvenience. The extended wheelbase offers expansive rear legroom, turning the back seats into a lounge like area, it is ideal for the long hours spent on the road. The smooth 2.0 liter engine with its 258 horsepower made sure that every need of power is fulfilled.However, the larger size does make it a bit difficult in city traffic and tight parking spots. Fuel efficiency is another area where it slightly disappoints.
