BMW has rolled out the facelifted 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB) in India at Rs 62.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The luxury sedan, previously called the Gran Limousine, is currently available only in the 330Li M Sport petrol variant, with a diesel option on the horizon.
Built at BMW’s Chennai plant, the updated 3 Series LWB brings a mix of sharper styling, a more tech-laden cabin, and the signature driving experience expected from the Bavarian marque. Find out more about:
The facelifted 3 Series LWB gets subtle styling updates. Up front, the signature kidney grille is paired with sharper-looking LED headlights, while the rear diffuser adds a sporty touch.
BMW has also thrown in some satin-finished aluminum accents to make it look bold.

Customers get four paint options: Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, M Carbon Black, and Arctic Race Blue.
On the inside, there’s not much changed. The spacious LWB layout offers generous rear-seat comfort, now upholstered in premium Vernasca Cognac leather. There’s a new steering wheel, which now has a flat bottom.

Another model-specific feature is the ambient lighting, which incorporates an illuminated contour strip on the back of the front seats.
The air vents are also freshly designed. The panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and three-zone climate control round off the comfort package.
BMW has loaded in all the tech you would expect from a luxury sedan in this segment. The curved display houses the BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system, complete with touch, gesture, and voice commands.
Features like the BMW Digital Key Plus, Comfort Access System, and remote 3D view (via the My BMW App) ensure seamless connectivity.
The BMW 330Li is powered by a 2-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 254 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, this LWB sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds.
There is also a Diesel variant on the cards which will follow soon. Mostly, it will be in the 320Ld avatar.
On the safety front, BMW has packed the 3 Series LWB with six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Cornering Brake Control (CBC), attentiveness assistance, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
It also gets BMW’s Park Assistant Plus, which includes a surround-view camera for precise parking, along with the BMW Driving Assistant suite that adds blind-spot detection and collision warnings.
At Rs 62.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated 3 Series LWB takes on rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Lexus ES350h and the Audi A4.
BMW aims to keep its long-wheelbase 3 Series as the go-to choice for those who prefer chauffeur-driven comfort without sacrificing “sheer driving pleasure”.
The facelifted BMW 3 Series LWB is a decent upgrade that brings fresh styling and more tech while retaining its core strengths. If you’re looking for a luxury sedan that strikes a fine balance between being a driver’s car and a comfortable chauffeur-driven car, then the BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase remains a compelling choice.
