Awesome bike with comfortable riding

Thunderbird 350 is itself a legendary bike in its category. Seating capacity is good and mostly its too comfortable while riding a long distance. Mileage is pretty good compared to other 350 cc bikes of same category. The both disk brakes are superb and works perfectly when required with anti skidding performance. Overall this bike suits my personality and i am riding this bike since 2017 and this is my one of the best assets i have with me.

My thunderbird 350

I am this bike since i brought it from the showroom in 2019 and it has been more than 7 years and i find this bike really a very wonderful traveller friendly bike which has the masculine traits and being very trust able bike with proper acceleration and braking system with a decent mileage like above 40 and i am really impressed with its engine and build quality. The only point to consider is its timely service if one invest timely the bike will be perfect but if neglected the bike usually gets more and more degraded but overall this bike is really a good choice to purchase.

Overall experience

The driving experience is quite good and relaxing but company claims that mileage is 35 km but my thunder bird gives mileage of 27-30 km and its black in colour. The pickup of my bullet is quite good. I am riding my bike from 4 years the overall experience is nice but the only thing i didn't like was the behaviour of service centre associates they are very rude but i am very happy with my bike and it was a great decision.

Q. How to you reduce the vibration in Classic 350? Also, is it worth buying second hand? Will I get that mileage if I drive at 60kmph - Thunderbird 350?
  • Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a torquey motor that leads to some vibrations. You may have some insulators installed in the bike to minimize the vibrations. Moreover, the 346cc fuel-injected UCE engine delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 40.8 kmpl and in order to get the best returns, we would suggest you to ride at economical speeds, keep a check on the tyre pressure and timely service the bike.
  • I never have any problem regarding vibration in my THB350,and I didn't ride enough classic350.so I can't tell you how to reduce the vibration. For my opinion you never should go for second hand in automobile, you may not have good experience.always go for latest model.

Thunderbird 350 Key Highlights

Features: The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 has a traditional cruiser styling and is among the most beautiful offering from Royal Enfield. The simple and flowing lines make it a visually pleasing motorcycle. Design highlights include a round headlamp, bulbous tank, a large saddle and spoked wheels. Also, unlike other cruiser offerings that get dollops of chrome for the bling element, the Thunderbird 350 goes for a more stealthy appearance with fewer chrome elements. The Thunderbird 350 features a projector headlamp, hazard lamps and an LED tail light. It gets a twin-pod instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and tachometer, while there’s a small LCD display for fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, service indicator and clock.

Engine: The Royal Thunderbird is offered with two engine options - 350cc and 500cc. The Thunderbird 350 is the more popular offering and features the same engine as seen on the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The single-cylinder, air-cooled, twin-spark engine delivers 20PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The cruiser bike employs a single downtube frame and uses the engine as a stressed member. A 41mm telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin shocks at rear take care of damping duties. The Thunderbird was the first Royal Enfield to feature disc brakes on both ends. The bike tips the scale at 195kg and features a humongous 20-litre fuel tank, which means lesser fuel stops while touring.

Rivals: UM Renegade Commando: The UM Renegade Commando is the closest competitor to the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. While it might not have the brand recognition that RE has, it does offer a refined and powerful engine. The large dimensions and modern cruiser styling is something that will grab a lot of eyeballs. Bajaj Dominar: The Bajaj Dominar kick-starts the affordable power cruiser segment in the Indian market. Powered by the KTM 390 Duke sourced motor which has been tuned to suit the demands of cruiser bike, it offers the best performance for any bike in its segment. Being a Bajaj offering, it has been priced aggressively while being equipped with an all-LED headlight and optional dual channel ABS. Hyosung Aquila 250: Although it is not exactly a direct rival to the Thunderbird 350 given its pricing, the Aquila 250 does hold the distinction of being the most affordable cruiser bike with a V-twin engine on sale. It has the quintessential cruiser styling with lots of chrome, but the premium pricing of above Rs 2.5 lakh works against its favour. Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise: Among the most popular cruiser bikes on sale in India, the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise offers a fantastic value for money proposition. The Pulsar 220-sourced engine delivers a fine balance of power and frugality, but it doesn’t have the oomph or the presence that the Royal Enfield Thunderbird commands.
