Renault will give us a glimpse of what to expect in 2020 at the upcoming Auto Expo. Representing the French carmaker will be a host of production cars and exciting models from its global portfolio. Here’s a quick roundup of what we can expect:
Triber AMT / Triber Turbo

A cleverly packaged sub-4-metre MPV that accommodates seven, Renault’s Triber has been a hit. It is powered by a 1.0-litre motor, which puts out 72PS and 92Nm. The missing link in the equation is an automatic gearbox. Renault will plug the gap with the Triber AMT that debuts at the Auto Expo 2020. We spotted it on test too; you can catch that exclusive story here. Alongside the AMT, we also expect to see the Triber with a more powerful turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine.
HBC Sub-4m SUV

Renault will also be taking a shot at what is arguably the busiest segment in the Indian automotive space. At the Auto Expo 2020, the French carmaker is likely to showcase a design concept of their small SUV, codenamed HBC. This SUV slots in under the Duster, and will be underpinned by Renault’s Compact Modular Family (CMF-A) Architecture. Powertrain options might include the 1.0-litre petrol engine and the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit. Given the cost-effective platform, Renault could choose to undercut its established rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, upcoming Tata Nexon facelift, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport, and the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Sub-4m sedan

Renault is also readying a sub-4m Dzire-rival, which will be based on the same platform as the small SUV. Details are scarce at this point of time, but we expect it to be based on the new Kwid. What we also know is that the new sedan will be an India-specific model and is likely to be exported to other developing markets. A design concept of this Kwid-based sedan is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo while we are looking at a late launch, probably in 2021.
International Models:

2020 Renault Zoe EV: Renault’s super compact all-electric hatchback might be showcased at the Auto Expo. Highlights include a 390km range, fast charging and a cute design. What more? Renault might even launch the Zoe in India!

Renault City K-ZE: The City K-ZE might look vaguely similar to the facelifted Kwid. That is because Kwid is actually based on this all-electric hatchback. Currently on sale in China, the all-electric version of the Kwid can do 250km in one full charge.
