Iconic British marque Mini has pulled the wraps off the new Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW) Pack at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It has been priced at Rs 55.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the fifth generation Cooper S, the new Cooper S JCW Pack, as the name suggests, gets a sporty exterior kit paired with special colour options. Similarly, the interior features a JCW-inspired theme that also matches the exterior. However, it is not the top-rung John Cooper Works but merely a visually sporty variant of the Cooper S.
The fifth generation Cooper S features a design similar to its legendary predecessors, but with numerous modern touches. And the John Cooper Works Pack takes it to the next level when it comes to styling. The front end comes with a new sporty bumper paired with red accents inspired by the Mini JCW. On the side, there is a new set of alloy wheels and more red inserts throughout. At the back, Mini has given it a distinct bumper with a diffuser. The Cooper S JCW Pack also brings fresh colours to the hatch. Also on offer is a contrasting roof and ORVMs, depending on the paint option.
Although the interior of the Cooper S John Cooper Works Pack features a cabin layout identical to the regular Cooper S, it gets a fresh upholstery and theme. There are styling cues borrowed from the Mini JCW. Not to mention the vivid red highlights across the cabin.
The Cooper S JCW Pack is likely to carry over the same features as the standard Cooper S, with a few exceptions. It is expected to get a heads-up display, a 9.5-inch OLED central information display, a wireless charging pad, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
Other features could be auto-dimming IRVM, a selfie camera, heated steering wheel, e-sim enabled services, LED headlights with extended functionality, a glass roof, comfort access system, powered front seats with memory function for driver, and remote engine start. The safety features of the Cooper S electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), cornering brake control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
Powering the Cooper S JCW Pack is a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 204 PS and 300 Nm. Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it can reach 100 kmph from a standstill in 6.6 seconds. It is to be noted that the Cooper S boasts a front-wheel drive system.
For reference, the Mini John Cooper Works gets a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 231 PS and 380 Nm. With this, it claims to achieve 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds and provides a top speed of 250 kmph.
In India, the Mini Cooper S JCW Pack rivals the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40.
