Bookings for the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol have begun ahead of its launch in India on August 5. Bookings can be made at either a NEXA dealership or its website for a token amount of Rs 11,000.

This is the first time in India that the S-Cross is being offered with a petrol engine. Powered by the K-Series 105PS 1.5-litre petrol unit, it also features Maruti Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology. Another first for the Indian S-Cross is the option of an automatic transmission, specifically a 4-speed torque converter, along with the standard 5-speed manual.

In terms of features, the only significant upgrade is the new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The rest of the prominent features are expected to remain unchanged.
