The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been teased before its official unveil at the 2016 New York Auto Show. The new GLC Coupe will get a host of engines including a fire breathing AMG version with a twin turbo V8. The new GLC coupe will go up against the likes of the BMW X4 and also the cheaper variants of the Range Rover Evoque.
Although not many details have been revealed yet, the GLC Coupe is expected to get the same engines as the normal GLC SUV and will be available with both petrol and diesel motors. There will also be a GLC43 and a GLC 63 AMG version with twin turbo engines and bespoke suspension. At launch, the car is expected to come with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that will make 241PS of peak power. We also expect a 2.1-litre diesel engine that will make upwards of 200PS of peak power.
In terms of design, expect Mercedes-Benz to give the GLC coupe a lot more aggressive styling as compared to the normal version which in any case looks quite aggressive. The sportier, AMG versions of course will also come with a lot more carbon fibre trim to differentiate it from the standard cars. Expect the GLC Coupe to be priced at about Rs 60 lakh for the standard cars and about Rs 75 lakh for the cheaper AMG versions.
