The Vespas were always premium but now, in their BS6 avatars, they have become exorbitant. Late last year, we got to know the prices of all BS6 models of the Italian scooter brand. There was an absentee though, the Vespa Notte 125, which we believed had faced the axe.
But it wasn’t so as Vespa we have exclusively received the BS6 prices of what was the most affordable scooter in the line-up. The BS6 Vespa Notte 125 carries a sticker price of Rs 91,864 (ex-showroom Pune), making it over Rs 17,000 more expensive than its BS4 variant. At the current price point, the Notte 125 is also the joint most affordable Vespa on sale in the country with the BS6 Vespa Urban Club.
There aren’t many changes to report on the BS6 Notte 125 aside from the necessary BS6 updates, i.e. fuel injection and an OBD port. It retains its dark colour scheme with no chrome to be found anywhere on the scooter. The engine produces the same 9.92PS and 9.6Nm as it used to do in its BS4 guise but we expect the motor to run smoother thanks to fuel injection.
The Vespa Notte 125 might be the affordable Vespa but compared to Japanese and Indian 125cc scooter rivals, it is almost Rs 20,000 more expensive.
