Moto Guzzi has unveiled two middleweight cruisers – the V9 Bobber and the V9 Roamer – for 2016 at the EICMA show in Milan.
Designed with inputs from the Piaggio Advanced Design Center in Pasadena, California, Guzzi says both bikes have been given good fit and finish, using more high quality steel and aluminum while reducing the use of plastic parts to a bare minimum.
Moto Guzzi calls the two bikes ‘easy cruisers’ – describing them as ‘light, agile and built for excitement’. The V9 Roamer has been described as an evolution of the Nevada, while the V9 Bobber is described as having “an altogether darker and more nocturnal soul”.
Both bikes are powered by Moto Guzzi’s new 850cc transverse V-Twin engine which makes 55PS at 6250rpm with torque peaking at 61Nm at 3000rpm. The engine uses a Marelli electronic fuel injection system and comes with a slick six-speed transmission and shaft drive.
Moto Guzzi offers a full range of accessories for the two bikes, including leather saddlebags, a protective fairing, twin seat with gel inserts, additional lights and extensive line-up of aluminium billet parts.
