After unveiling the Altroz back in December last year, Tata Motors is finally ready to launch it’s first sho at the premium hatchback segment tomorrow. We’ve sampled the hatchback already, so you can head here for our first drive review. Here’s everything you need to know about the Altroz ahead of its launch:
Design

The Altroz is a sporty looking hatchback thanks to Tata’s Impact 2.0 design language. Highlights include sharp styling with a shark nose-like front end as well as projector headlamps and LED DRLs. It sits on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear features a split-LED tail lamp setup connected by black plastic trim. The interior features a black-grey dashboard finish as well as silver trims.
Features

It gets features such as a 7-inch floating infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, cruise control, auto headlamps, as well as keyless entry with push-button start-stop. Safety equipment consists of ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, driver and co-driver seatbelt warning as well as high speed alert.
Powertrains

Under the hood, the Altroz will be powered by BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The petrol engine delivers 85PS and 114Nm, whereas the diesel motor produces 90PS and 200Nm. Both engines will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Price & Variants

Tata Motors will offer the Altroz in five variants: XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ (O). Head here to know more about them. Expect prices to start from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom India).
Rivals

Once launched, it will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and the Toyota Glanza.
