Apart from the introduction of new variants in the Altroz, Tata has silently rejigged the features list for select variants

  • Tata Altroz XM and XM (S) variants launched from Rs 6.9 lakh
  • Based on XE+ and gets steering mounted audio controls, 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers and height-adjustable driver’s seat.
  • XE, XM+, and XT trims now get new features.

Tata Motors has reintroduced the Altroz’ lower-end XM trim, priced from Rs 6.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This trim is based on the XE+ trim and gets a host of additional features. Moreover, Tata now offers the sunroof in this trim for a premium and has christened it the XM (S). The new variants are limited to the naturally aspirated petrol-manual powertrain only.

Take a look at the variant-wise prices:

That said, the introduction of the XM (S) variant has now made the sunroof even more accessible by Rs 55,000. So if you want a car with a sunroof, but without breaking the bank, this variant ought to be it.

The Altroz XM gets the following features over the XE+ trim:
