Tata Altroz Sunroof Variants Now Rs 55,000 More Affordable

Apart from the introduction of new variants in the Altroz, Tata has silently rejigged the features list for select variants

Tata Altroz XM and XM (S) variants launched from Rs 6.9 lakh
Based on XE+ and gets steering mounted audio controls, 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers and height-adjustable driver’s seat.
XE, XM+, and XT trims now get new features.

Tata Motors has reintroduced the Altroz’ lower-end XM trim, priced from Rs 6.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This trim is based on the XE+ trim and gets a host of additional features. Moreover, Tata now offers the sunroof in this trim for a premium and has christened it the XM (S). The new variants are limited to the naturally aspirated petrol-manual powertrain only.

The Altroz XM commands a Rs 10,000 premium over the XE+. And if you want it with the sunroof, you’ll have to shell out Rs 55,000 over the XE+. That said, the introduction of the XM (S) variant has now made the sunroof even more accessible by Rs 55,000. So if you want a car with a sunroof, but without breaking the bank, this variant ought to be it.

The Altroz XM gets the following features over the XE+ trim:

Height adjustable driver’s seat
16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers
Steering-mounted audio controls
Electrically adjustable and auto-fold ORVMs
9-inch aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system (optional)
Sunroof (limited to XM (S) variant)
