Volkswagen Taigun And Virtus Get A Sporty-looking Flash Red Hue, highlights

The Volkswagen Virtus is especially known for its sporty appeal, and what’s better than a sporty car finished in a nice dual-tone red and black theme. While the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun both already come with a darker Cherry Red hue, the German carmaker has now introduced a new Flash Red colour option which is on the bright side of the palette.

All You Need To Know!

The Taigun and Virtus both get the Flash Red hue, however, the new shade is available in limited units and with the GT Line trims only. This means that the new shade will be available only with the 1-litre turbo-petrol variants and not the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit.

The new Flash Red colour comes with a black roof, black ORVMs, black pillars, black alloy wheels, darkened LED headlamps and tail lights and a nice lip spoiler finished in black (Virtus only).

Other colour options include:  Cherry Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver, Rising Blue, Lava Blue, and Carbon Steel Grey.

The engine offered with the GT Line trim is the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine which makes 115 PS and 178 Nm, and is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Volkswagen Taigun And Virtus Get A Sporty-looking Flash Red Hue, overview

The Taigun’s prices start from Rs 11.8 lakh (ex-showroom), and it competes with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

The Virtus is priced from Rs 11.56 lakh (ex-showroom), and competes with the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia.

ZigSays!

The Virtus has been a top-seller in its segment, while the Taigun has started to lose its charm in the last few years. While it is good to have a new colour option, the hue might not really help in attracting new customers as both these cars already come with some really nice colour options. What buyers should look forward to is the facelifted version of the Taigun which has already been spotted testing across India, and is likely to arrive in 2026, bringing in more features and comforts for the passengers. Soon after the Taigun gets its facelift, we also expect Volkswagen to bring in the facelifted Virtus with a more exciting package.
