The SUV will feature certain design styling touches inspired from the Bigster concept
Will continue to be a contender in the popular compact SUV segment rivalling Hyundai Creta
Renault's popular Duster SUV, which started the compact SUV segment in India, is set to get its third-generation model, slated for a launch on November 29, 2023. As per sources, Dacia, Renault's sister brand is prepared to unveil the new model in Portugal and it will be available in other emerging markets under the Renault badge. Let’s take a look at the details we know so far about the next-gen Duster.

As seen from the earlier spy shots, the Duster’s design is likely to take certain design touches from the Bigster concept. Up front, the SUV will feature an upright fascia with a slim grille and LED DRLs. The profile of the car boasts chunky wheel arches giving it a rugged look.

Its muscular character will be further enhanced by side body cladding, and roof rails. At the rear, along with a squared-off boot, it is expected to get Y-shaped LED taillamps and a skid plate integrated into the rear bumper for that macho look.

Reportedly, the Duster will be available with three engine options which includes a 110PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-litre hybrid engine tuned to generate power figures between 120PS and 140PS, and a 170PS 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The last one is the most powerful engine to be used in the Duster and is also compliant to run on flex fuel in countries like Brazil.

As reported earlier, Renault is expected to launch the third generation of the Duster sometime in 2025. The SUV will continue to compete in the popular compact SUV segment in India, alongside rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
