Skoda’s first sub-4m SUV, the Kylaq, has been revealed globally along with its starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. While we know nearly everything there is to know about the latest SUV from the folks at Czech Republic, its full price list is something we all are keenly waiting for. And that curiosity will be put to an end on December 2, when Skoda will reveal its full prices along with opening the order books for it. Deliveries for the Kylaq will begin from January 27, post its showcase at the Bharat Mobility Show on January 17.
Here’s a quick look at the Kylaq’s highlighting details:
The Kylaq sits on the same MQB A0 IN platform as its bigger sibling, the Kushaq. It even looks like a mini-Kushaq, thanks to a similar silhouette, but it does get unique design cues and elements for a distinction between the two SUVs.

It sports split LED headlights and DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels and wraparound LED tail lights. It has one of the biggest wheelbases in its segment, and you can check out how its dimensions compare to its rivals in this story.

Inside, the Kylaq resembles the Kushaq for the most part. The dashboard layout is near identical and the only significant visual difference is the different dual tone black and grey cabin theme. They even share the same set of features, which include 10-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, powered and ventilated front seats, keyless entry and a sunroof.
6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-hold assist and a reverse parking camera with sensors make up its safety kit.

Under the hood is a single 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque-converter transmission. It has an output of 115 PS and 178 Nm.

Stay tuned for the full price list of all the four variants (Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige) of the Skoda Kylaq on December 2. When launched, it’ll rival the likes of Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
