The Black Badge marks the apogee of the Cullinan range packing more opulence and power

Shah Rukh Khan being chauffeured around in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan - it just makes sense right? Arguably Bollywood's biggest celebrity, King Khan, just bought himself a sparkling new Cullinan, and not just any Cullinan but the flagship Black Badge edition. While you can't watch him in or alongside the car, the number plate of the spotted vehicle reveals the identity of the owner.

MH 02 FZ 0555 – this number is sort of a hallmark for the fleet of Shah Rukh Khan's vehicles and the same can be seen on the Rolls-Royce SUV. The body is primarily specced in a white hue with contrasting black bits on the grille, air dam, side sills, roof spoiler, and bumper, giving it a proper sinister look.

The significance of the number 0555 is unclear, given that we aren't best friends with the actor (sadly), but it could well be a lucky number. Who knows? But what we do know is that this number or different combinations of it are present on quite a few of his vehicles, some of which include the BMW 6-series Convertible, i8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Range Rover Vogue, Rolls-Royce Phantom, and even a customised Volvo BR9 vanity van costing around Rs 4 crore.

As for this tastefully specced Cullinan, it would have cost King Khan a tad bit more than the vanity van, somewhere around Rs 10 crore on-road. That sure is a lot of money, but well, you do get a lot of riches for it and of course the presence of the elegant Spirit of Ecstasy in front of the bonnet.

In terms of luxury, the Cullinan is up there with the best of the best. Hand-crafted materials all around, leather sourced from places you haven't even heard of, and the plethora of technology on board to make life as convenient as possible; It has it all.

Catapulting the spirit of ecstasy forward is a 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine with an output of 600PS and 900Nm, delivered to all four wheels. An electronically adjustable air suspension makes sure that comfort is optimum at all times; i.e, something crucial for keeping King Khan snug after his relentless day of shoots.

This extravagant purchase comes on the back of the success of Shah Rukh Khan's recent film Pathaan, which literally rocked the box office like no other movie in recent times. While it might be the most expensive vehicle in his garage, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is a rival to other luxury SUVs like the Bentley Bentayega and Aston Martin DBX.
