It’s a good day to be a billionaire in India who’s on the lookout for a new luxury SUV, because the nameplate with a pedestal right at the front in the pantheon of luxury SUVs has arrived with an update. Behold the facelifted Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, which has just been launched, with prices starting from Rs 10.5 Crore (ex-showroom). Along with it comes a tailor-made Cullinan Black Badge edition as well, which can be yours for an additional Rs 1.75 crore over the standard model. What do you or rather, the billionaire gets for all this money? Let’s find out:
Regal looks. That’s something you’d expect of a Rolls-Royce, but the Cullinan manages to look even more chic in this Series II form. The difference isn’t night and day, but is enough to make it look a little softer, especially at the front. That change is courtesy of the sleeker headlight unit, which now gets an extended DRL strip flowing down towards the bumper, which itself has been tweaked.
Its profile is more or less a carbon copy of the Series I model, save for the new alloys.
Most people won’t be able to differentiate the facelifted model from the rear. The subtle tweak comes in the form of a more defined exhaust outlet, which is complimented by a brushed stainless-steel plate in the middle of the bumper. Guess you don’t need a thorough revision when the baseline is already well crafted to begin with.
The interior of the Cullnan Series II is typically Rolls-Royce, and hasn’t actually been tweaked all that much with this update. The layout is the same, but the elements within it are new, and more premium; like the glass panel on the upper part of the dashboard.

The infotainment and digital driver’s display are housed on that panel itself, along with 7,000 laser-etched dots and a new ‘Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet’ on the passenger side of the panel.
Given that the majority of the Cullinan’s duties will revolve around chauffeuring its high-net owners, the focus on the rear seat experience is truly exceptional. The seats are of course, cooled, heated, and get massaging functionality, while the rear screens are compatible with up to two streaming devices. There’s WIFI connectivity so that each screen can have an independent stream, which can be paired with any type of bluetooth headsets. Alternatively, the passengers can revel in the marque’s 18-speaker ‘Bespoke Audio System’ sound system.
There’s absolutely no change in this department, as the Cullinan Series II gets the same 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine of the outgoing model, which puts out 571PS of power and 850Nm of peak torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
These small changes have surely made the Cullinan more desirable, as it continues to be the most in-demand Rolls-Royce of the modern era.
