Maruti has launched a special Waltz edition for the Wagon R hatchback. It is available across the Lxi, Vxi and Zxi variants, and while prices for all variants are not out yet, the starting price for the special edition is Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition brings in cosmetic changes and feature additions to the Wagon R. Here is a look at what all the special edition packs:
The Wagon R Waltz edition features new design enhancing elements including fog lamps surrounded by a chrome garnish, chrome inserts on the front grille, cladding for the wheel arch, bumper protectors and side skirts for a rugged look. Further accentuating the appearance is the body side moulding. We think that these inclusions enhance the look of the popular hatchback. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section.

In the interior, it gets a designer floor mat, designer seat cover and interior styling kits. The important addition here are the new features that you get. The additional amenities include a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 4 speakers. Safety kit includes the addition of a reverse parking camera. These are additions to the standard safety net which comprises ABS with EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensors and electronic stability control (ESC).

Under the hood, the special edition is available with all the powertrain options of the Wagon R. The options include a 67 PS 1-litre petrol engine and a 90 PS 1.2-litre petrol engine. The aforementioned engines can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. Additionally, you also get the option of a factory fitted CNG kit, available with the 1-litre petrol engine. The CNG option can only be had with the 5-speed manual.
As mentioned earlier, the variant-wise pricing of the Maruti Wagon R Waltz Edition has not been revealed yet, but its starting price is Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Note, that if you were to buy these accessories on an a la carte basis, or even as part of a kit, it would cost you a lot more than the premium for this new special edition. The standard Wagon R is priced from Rs 5.54 lakh to Rs 7.21 lakh. The Wagon R rivals the likes of Tata Tiago, and Maruti Celerio.
