Only 15 units, 113PS and a jaw-dropping Rs 62 lakh price tag!

Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser Concept Revealed

When we hear the name Jawa, we usually think of retro motorcycles like the 42, Perak or the Jawa 350 sold in India by Classic Legends, the Mahindra-backed company that owns the Jawa brand here. However, the Czech-origin motorcycle manufacturer has now pulled the wraps off something completely different – the Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept.

Showcased at the Brno Motorcycle Show in the Czech Republic, the concept is said to be the result of a collaboration between Jawa and Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Jedi. Reports suggest that production could be limited to just 15 units worldwide, making it an ultra-exclusive machine.

A Jawa Like We've Never Seen Before

The Sport Cruiser's design is unlike anything we've seen from Jawa before. Penned by Czech designer Jan Hrbek, the motorcycle combines a low-slung cruiser stance with futuristic bodywork and flowing lines. The signature Jawa red paint scheme remains, but that's about where the similarities with existing Jawa motorcycles end.

Big Engine, Bigger Presence

Under the skin, the concept is believed to pack a 1,000cc engine producing around 113PS. While those figures sound impressive, the reported kerb weight of around 240kg means the "Sport" part of the name might be a bit optimistic.

The bike also gets a large air intake setup and an imposing overall stance, giving it a muscle-cruiser-like appearance.

Premium Components All Around

The hardware package is seriously premium. The concept features Ohlins suspension at both ends and Brembo Stylema brake callipers. A LeoVince exhaust completes the package and should provide a suitably sporty soundtrack.

Production Plans Still Unclear

That said, the motorcycle displayed at Brno appears to be more of a design study than a production-ready machine. The unusually styled engine casings and prototype-like finish suggest that the concept may still be in a very early stage of development.

Jawa has not revealed a production timeline yet, and it remains unclear how close the showcased motorcycle is to the final version.

If it does reach production, reports indicate a price tag of around £53,000 (approximately Rs 62 lakh). At that price, and with production reportedly capped at 15 units, the Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser is likely to remain a collector's item rather than a mainstream motorcycle.

As things stand, there's no indication that this limited-run machine will make its way to India, but it certainly shows a side of Jawa that enthusiasts rarely get to see.
