The CFMoto 500SR Voom is an upcoming 500cc inline-four sports bike that looks like a million bucks. And a striking feature of the bike is the retro-styled elements on the front fairing which, though looking like a pair of LED headlights, are actually twin circular LED DRLs surrounding functional air intakes! The actual headlight is mounted horizontally right under them. And the 500SR has bar-end mirrors, most likely to keep that gorgeous front-end clean.

Behind the fairing is the twin-tube perimeter frame which houses the 500cc inline-four engine. CFMoto hasn’t yet disclosed the power figures, but considering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R makes 77PS and 37.6Nm from its 399cc inline-four engine, we wouldn’t be surprised if the 500SR Voom made over 80PS and 40Nm from its bigger 500cc engine.

The colour TFT display shows that the engine’s redline is close to 16,000rpm, which should make it a screamer. The display also shows a tyre pressure readout indicating the 500SR will get TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system).
Coming to the rear of the 500SR, the pillion seat looks quite high up compared to the rider’s seat, but if you ask us, a pillion seat cowl would make the 500SR look even more striking. Under the pillion seat are circular twin-pod tail lights, following the same design theme as the front. The stubby twin underseat exhausts make the rear look symmetrical and stunning.

CFMoto plans to just launch it for their domestic market (China) to start with. Considering that the brand hasn’t really picked up well in India, the 500SR is unlikely to come to India even if it's launched globally. Thankfully, we have the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR for Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
