Remember the funky looking Navi-sized cafe racer that was unveiled in China recently? Well that was the CFMoto Papio XO-1, a mini-bike built on the Papio ST-125 platform. Shortly after, we now have the first look of the Papio XO-2, a scrambler-style mini bike, leaked via homologation documents, and it looks so damn cool!
It is a rally-style mini-bike and even gets a short, high-mounted fender to complete the look. Just like the Papio XO-1, the XO-2 gets twin LED headlights which are its most prominent throwback feature to Dakar rally bikes of yesteryear. Looking at it, it makes us wonder, what if Honda offered the Navi with some off-road credentials. Wouldn’t that be fun?
In terms of performance, we are expecting its 125cc motor, which it borrows from the ST-125 to churn out a familiar 9.5PS and 8.3Nm. These numbers are roughly the same as what we get from a TVS NTorq Race XP. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox and the top speed claimed is 90kmph.
Furthermore, with a weight of roughly 114kg (kerb), this will be a fun commuter to ride off-road. What’s super cool is that it gets a USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. Its 12-inch alloy rims come shod with dual-sport tyres and braking managed by single discs at either end.
The Papio XO-1, which is available with or without ABS, joined the CFMoto lineup last month. The Papio XO-2 is expected to follow soon. While we do not have anything like this here in India, we really hope Honda brings back the Navi in a funkier fashion.
