KTM has taken the wraps off the 2024 KTM RC 8C and the Austrian manufacturer claims that it gets Moto2 levels of performance! The track-only race bike is limited to only 100 units and gets a sticker price of Euros 42,000 (about Rs 38 lakh). Pre-orders are available for interested customers from Europe, USA, Mexico, Canada and South Africa.
There aren’t many changes to the new bike compared to the 2023 model. Developed in association with Kramer Motorcycles, the bike gets a quick release tank and body panels, ultra-lightweight aluminium wheels from Dymag and race slicks from Pirelli.
It is powered by an LC8c 889cc, parallel-twin engine producing 135PS and 98Nm which redlines at 12,000rpm! And turning all that power into a screaming cacophony of parallel-twin music is a racing exhaust from Akrapovic.

Inspired by the KTM RC16 race bike, the RC 8C gets carbon kevlar bodywork and fairings, and a bespoke steel tubular frame. It comes with adjustable clip-on handlebars and footpegs, and a carbon fibre front fender. Suspension setup consists of a 43mm WP APEX PRO closed cartridge fork and a WP APEX PRO monoshock. Braking duties are handled by dual 290mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema brake calipers and MotoGP-derived Brembo 19RCS CORSA CORTA radial master brake cylinders. At the rear, it gets a 230mm disc with a Brembo two-piston caliper.
