Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

Price: The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is priced at Rs 16.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in the standard variant and gets the Ducati Red colour option. The supermoto is available in India as CBUs (Completely Built Units).

Features: The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono gets a 3.8-inch LCD instrument console. It comes equipped with 3 power modes: High, Medium and Low and 4 ride modes: Sport, Road, Urban and Wet. The bike also gets traction control, four-level wheelie control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Power Launch.

Engine: Powering the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is the world’s most powerful single-cylinder engine, the Superquadro Mono. It is a 659cc, liquid-cooled motor producing 77.5PS at 9750rpm and 63Nm at 8000rpm and redlines at 10,250rpm. It has a bore and stroke of 116 x 62.4mm and the compression ratio is 13.1:1 with Desmodromic valve timing. 698 Mono gets a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The bi-directional quickshifter is available as an optional feature.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The suspension setup on the Hypermotard 698 Mono consists of a 45mm Marzocchi fully-adjustable inverted fork and a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a 330mm front disc with a Brembo M4.32 caliper and a 245mm rear disc with a single piston floating caliper and four-level Bosch Cornering ABS as standard. The supermoto gets 17-wheels at both ends with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. It has a 161kg wet weight (without fuel), seat height of 905mm and a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.

Rivals: Being the only single-cylinder supermoto on sale in India, the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono doesn’t have any rivals here.
