Base variant spotted is devoid of body coloured bumpers, LED DRLs, front fog lamps and alloy wheels.
New dark green shade resembles the Brave Khaki colour on the facelifted XL6.
Features to include a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a single-pane sunroof and ventilated front seats.
Will get the updated K15C 1.5-litre petrol engine under the hood.
Prices are likely to start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
News on the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is coming in thick and fast ahead of its slated launch by the end of June. After recently spotting it without a camouflage on an advertisement shoot, we’ve now got a much clearer look at the next-gen sub-4 metre SUV at a dealership yard. The difference this time is that it looks like a lower-spec variant with what seems like a new body shade.

What gives away the fact that this version of the Vitara Brezza is a base-spec variant is that it gets steel wheels instead of alloys, blacked-out bumpers, no LED DRLs or front fog lamps, as well as the presence of halogen headlights. The new shade looks similar to the Brave Khaki dark green shade option which was introduced on the updated XL6.

We know the base-spec variant will be fairly barebones inside, but we think the higher-spec variants will come with bits such as the Baleno’s floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a single-pane sunroof, a head-up display and ventilated front seats. Safety kit should include a 360-degree camera and six airbags ampong other bits.

Note: Existing Vitara Brezza images used for reference purposes.
Another update will come under the hood in the form of the K15C 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine from the facelifted Ertiga and XL6. It’ll be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission and come equipped with mild-hybrid tech.

Select dealerships have already begun accepting offline bookings. Prices for the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza should start at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), rekindling its rivalry with the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, as well as the upcoming 2022 Hyundai Venue.
