Along the lines of the Global Pik Up and Thar.e concepts, the production-ready avatar of the Mahindra BE 05 has also been revealed. It was initially unveiled as a concept in August 2022 and will go on sale by October 2025.

The unveiled image displays the BE 05 from a bird's-eye perspective. The vehicle's hood maintains its upright posture with distinct creases, reminiscent of the original concept. Notably, there appears to be a continuous gloss black strip on the hood, potentially housing large LED daytime running lights.

Distinguishing itself, the BE 05 will be the inaugural Mahindra model featuring a fixed glass roof, which extends over a substantial portion of the cabin. Similar to the XUV700, the vehicle's doors will be outfitted with flush door handles. The rear of the vehicle showcases a muscular aesthetic, featuring a spoiler and elongated C-shaped LED taillights.

Partial glimpses of the interior reveal a modern and upscale layout, featuring integrated dual display screens. We’re expecting the cabin of the production version to closely resemble the concept model with a few changes incorporated for ergonomic purposes.

Mahindra's BE 05 is underpinned by the EV-specific INGLO platform. The vehicle is expected to house a 60 kWh battery pack, offering an expected range of up to 450 kilometers. Mahindra claims the capability for 175 kW fast charging, enabling the BE 05 to charge from 5 to 80 percent in just half an hour.

The versatile INGLO platform can accommodate various drivetrain configurations, including front, rear, and all-wheel drive setups. According to Mahindra, rear-wheel-drive variants might deliver up to 285PS in terms of performance, whereas all-wheel-drive versions could potentially reach 394PS.
