Yes it is. Since it looks more of an urban class suv so people might doubt its capabilities. Believe me, take the beast for offroad and it wont disappoint you at all. Wooping 155bhp with massive 360Nm torque won’t disappoint you ever. Preferably take the AWD version for hard offroading otherwise for mild or low offroading all version are a great option!

It is called Family SUV, not for off-roading, but like other cars minor off road drives are possible, the vehicle is heavy, the Shock absorbers will bend if the car is tilted on one side for more time and even you cant go on steep down roads, it damages your Shock absorbers, SUV for name sake, not for off roading due to shock absorbers/ struts.

I have been driving XUV 500 for the last almost 3 years, I don’t think this car is meant for off-roading. Firstly it has low ground clearance which will damage it’s undercarriage, secondly it is heavy and the engine does not support the heavy chassis for driving uphill easily. Thirdly, the shockers are not meant for off-roading and will definitely get damaged. It is basically an urban family SUV.

  • Decent Car

It's a decent vehicle, although it can be a bit cumbersome for city driving on occasion. It provides a fuel economy of approximately 13-14 kilometers per liter in the city and 17 kilometers per liter on the highway. The only significant issue I've encountered is a power loss caused by modulator failure, which incurred a cost of around 3k, including labor. The vehicle has comfortable seats and ample space, although the last row is quite cramped. If you use the last row, there won't be any room left for luggage. The suspension is notably subpar. The infotainment system encountered early failures, and the repair or replacement costs are substantial. Additionally, there were some metal fatigue noises experienced on hilly roads. Overall, it's a decent vehicle if you take good care of it.
