Mahindra XUV500 powered by a 2.2-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine developing 155PS of maximum power and 360Nm of peak torque, which are available with both a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-spec diesel variant comes with a option of AWD system. It has only one petrol variant which is powered by a 2.2-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine developing 140PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 is available in five variants viz W5, W7, W9, W11 and W11 (O). It is priced in the range of Rs.12.39-19.05 Lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes with dual front airbags, ABS and disc brakes for all four wheels as standard. Higher variants get side and curtain airbags, electronic stability program, hill hold and hill descent control and an emergency call function. The NVH levels are concerned, they are well controlled and the engine noise is only audible in the cabin when revved beyond 2,500 rpm. The XUV's structure is based on monocoque platform so it passes smoothly from the corners even on the curves at speeds of 70kmph. It’s agile for its size, but while its steering is fairly stiff, it doesn’t provide great feel. The top-spec W11 variant gets the optional 18-inch alloy wheels with tyre profiles reduced from 235/65 to 235/60. The usual 17-inch wheels will still be available as standard. The ride on the bigger wheels felt sporty but not stiff at any point. It has a ride height of 200mm which is pretty good for uneven roads as well as off-roads, comes with 17 inch wide tyres and the AWD(All Wheel Drive) performs well for off-roading too. Moreover, We would suggest you to take a test drive before final call. Click on the given link to get your nearest dealership details: https://bit.ly/2rJrRu2

Yes it is. Since it looks more of an urban class suv so people might doubt its capabilities. Believe me, take the beast for offroad and it wont disappoint you at all. Wooping 155bhp with massive 360Nm torque won’t disappoint you ever. Preferably take the AWD version for hard offroading otherwise for mild or low offroading all version are a great option!

It should have been but due to very third class quality of seat anchorages, door locks and dashboard fitments, it has noise and vibrations even on highway.

No, the ground clearance is not that much for the car thus it can't be used for off-roading
