Q. How is the J model for personal use - Yaris?

It is great. You don't feel the need for a higher version at all. However fog lights are still not available via Delhi or Noida dealers even 1.5 years after the launch. The dealer will fit rear parking sensors, rear parking camera and auto dimming irvm if you pay for them. The rear AC vent, noise cancelling windows, rear disk brakes, traction control/electronic stability control are other nice features missing in the J version. You can always ask the dealer to install an Android Auto touchscreen but who will be responsible for its updates apart from being a big distraction during driving.

If you're on a tight budget, the J variant can be brought. You can add rear parking sensors or a camera, and you're good to go. But, if you can stretch a bit to the get the G variant, nothing like it!
