Q. Hello, I wish to purchase an automatic petrol car under a budget of Rs. 11 lakhs. My travelling is mainly in the city (Ahmedabad). I have screened a few cars but very confused which one to choose. My choices are: 1. Tata Nexon Petrol XZA+ (which will be approx Rs. 10.25 lakhs on road) 2. Hyundai Verna Petrol EX AT (which will be approx Rs. 11.50 lakhs on road) 3. Toyota Yaris Petrol J CVT (which will be approx Rs. 11.06 lakhs on road). I test drove the Nexon and Yaris and had planned Verna also in this week. I couldn’t find any difference in the two cars other than that the Yaris is more premium looking and smooth in operation, however it missed out the touch screen in J variant which is essential for me as I am a learner. Further the 15 minutes test drive didn’t tell me anything. Please help in selecting and also request you to mention the reason for buying the car. Waiting for response. Thanks112 Views 1 Answer

So the ground clearance is really commendable and even the worst of the roads can be conquered without much problems but it has it’s drawback in the form of body roll and movement on the highways at the speeds over 120kmph.Comfort is good in the city though.Potholes creep inside the cabin at really slow speeds but are not felt at all in moderate speed, I.E.Above 40kmph.Fancy features not available but not of much concern.Seats fold in 60:40 split which is exceptional.Ac performance exceptional, The rear vents are not even needed most of the times.Rear ac vents are really strong too.The performance of the car is smooth but not exciting, Which is evident in the engine and suspension tuning. For quick overtakes on highway you do need to downshift and rev over 3000rpm.The car performs relaxed with more than enough grunt in the city speeds. The mileage in city under harsh driving is 9-10kmpl while simple driving will result in 12-15kmpl whereas on highways speed racers would get around 13-15kmpl with ac on while simple drivers would get easy 16-20kmpl.For instance with ac off on highway i have got 22kmpl too.The tank to tank mileage i got is 15.5 with around 70% hardcore city driving.Gearbox is smooth but sometimes it wont get into 1st or reverse when the car stars and you have to re engage the clutch to do so.I have a manual btw.Speakers in the car are decent too.The cabin feels a bit cooler than other cars in summers and is also really quieter than any other car in it’s segment. The suspension also does not make much noise. The car is really easy to drive though. You’ll really appreciate the clutch when you experience it.
As we all know Toyota is always known for its Quality, Durability and Reliability.. Maintenance of this car is never a concern.. only thing I didn't like about this car is it lacks a hell lot of features considering the ₹14 lakhs price bracket. Rubber band effect it quite evident and it's a bit annoying while overtaking lacks confidence.. apart from these issues it's super comfortable and spacious a sedan with 60:40 foldable slit seats and 476 L trunk space. overall it's a good family car.. not a car meant for enthusiasts like us.
The performance is dope, And safety is their priority. The car is rugged, Fuel economical and cheap to maintain.
Good and reliable no service problem just regular maintenance and it will keep you going with no probkem
