The Honda PCX160 is a premium maxiscooter from Honda. It has a sleek and aerodynamic European maxi-scooter-themed design and is loaded with several modern features. It targets buyers who want a reasonably powerful maxiscooter without compromising on practicality.

The Honda PCX160 could cost around Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom), and is likely to be launched in India by the end of 2024.

Honda PCX160 Engine

The Honda PCX160 has a 156cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It has a power output of 15.8PS @ 8500 rpm and a torque output of 15Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).

Honda PCX160 Suspension and Brakes

The Honda PCX160 comes with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. It has discs at both ends with single-channel ABS. The PCX160 comes with tubeless tyres measuring 110-section up front and 130-section at the rear. The tyres are wrapped on a 14-inch front and a 13-inch rear alloy wheel.

The PCX160 has a ground clearance of 135mm with a seat height of 764mm. It comes with an 8.1-litre fuel tank capacity.

Honda PCX160 Key Features

The Honda PCX160 comes with a fully digital instrument console. It shows the speedometer, fuel gauge, mileage and low-fuel indicator, apart from the regular set of information. The scooter also comes with a Honda Smart Key with an answer-back function, HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control, Honda's term for traction control), Idling Stop System. The PCX160 gets 30 litres of under-seat storage, an all-LED lighting, and a 5V, 2.1A USB charging port.

Honda PCX160 Rivals

The Honda PCX160, if and when launched here, will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155, the Aprilia SXR 160, and the Aprilia SR 160. The upcoming Hero Xoom 160 will also be a direct rival. It will also compete with similar-priced electric scooters like the Ather 450X, the Ola S1 Pro, and the TVS iQube Electric.
